2017 March Break/Pre Tryout Program (On Ice & Off Ice)

DB Fitness Inc.

Pre-Try-Out March Break Development Camp 2017

DB Fitness Inc. is excited to announce the pre-try-out March Break Development Camp offered this March 13th to the 17th. Our passionate team at DB Fitness is committed to offering players a full week of tailored on and off-ice training to maximize the players skills before try-out season. Not only will each player work on sharpening their skills on-ice but will also walk away with the knowledge off the ice to workout safely and effectively. At DB Fitness Inc. we believe education to be the key to unlocking high performance skills and are dedicated to providing this knowledge to each player attending our camp.

Educating players for success is our vision. The goal of DB Fitness Hockey Development Program is to give player’s all the fundamental skills on and off the ice to perform at an optimal level. On-ice development will focus on the essential skills that are required to perform at a high level including stick handling, passing, shooting, and skating. As each player improves and sharpens themselves on each individual skill, they will begin to apply them together more efficiently. As a competitive addition, DB Fitness is offering goaltenders specialized training on and off the ice led by a well known, high skilled goalie coach.

DB Fitness athletic program is tailored to compliment all aspects of personal development to ensure safety and achieve maximum potential on-ice. DB Fitness athletes will actively learn the fundamental movements required for all components of training including balance, strength, and endurance, all very crucial elements to on-ice development. The break down of each player’s movements off the ice, will further overall performance on the ice. A strong focus on the fundamental movements and stretching techniques will promote coordination with good posture. To be most efficient on the ice, players require proper coordination while keeping a solid base of support. This in turn, also eliminates the risk for injury, enabling the player to perform on the ice at their highest potential. Each player will learn the skills that will not only apply to hockey but to their everyday lives. Combining the passion for the game with a healthy lifestyle.

Spring Tryouts 2016

Across the Country it is that time of year again, Minor Hockey..
"TRY OUTS"
A lot of things you can control and lot you can not. Some teams will be pretty much picked before the first skate. (Good Coaches are proactive) You may be seen for 1 to 2 minutes on ice. It can be stressful for players and parents. Stay positive, give your all no matter what ! Relax, play hard, eat right, get rest...leave nothing in the tank. Best of luck to all & ts time to give it your all.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Enjoy the Holiday Season and lots of time with your family.

Friday, June 26, 2015

Summer is here. School is out. The Stanley Cup is back in Chicago. The hockey season is Officially over.
SO……..time to get out of the rink. Enjoy the summer and other sports. Re Focus, Have Fun. Run, Bike, Stretch, Workout…..no matter what age. It has been proven 12 months in a rink does not help your game that much…..however if you stay on the ice…try new things.
Also, I want to say a big congratulation to the guys and gals that have helped me over the years. Many of you are/have graduated from University/High School. I want to say thank you and all the best starting a new period of your life. I really enjoyed having you are part of my team !!!! Miss seeing you all.
And a big thank you to the other guys that helped with the kids programs .... well done ! You know who you are...enjoyed seeing you each week. If you need a reference .... let me know.
MISS...being at the rink more than you can imagine. First thing I think of in the morning and the last think in my mind before I go to sleep. Miss working with the young players and the young at heart players. It has been 6 months…and 8 days. This year will be the first year I will not have a late August program or work at a school in decades. I have not been on the ice since the 18 of Dec….can not even go to a rink….I will soon.
All in All ….. Enjoy the summer, stay active and I hope to see you all in the near future.
PS…if anyone knows of anyone looking for a sales rep, account rep etc I am looking at getting back into real life. Even a Hockey Job. Enjoy the summer. ........ I am hopping to return to the ice....!!!!
